Cabana F.A.Q.

What do I get for $2,000?

The Cabana Experience at Cabana Pool Bar is amazing.  Up to 15 friends get to enjoy the party in your own exclusive reserved Cabana, a place for you to enjoy a party within the party.  Bottle Service attendants will get your party going strong, without you having to line up at the bar. And even snacks are included.  Plus, to get you in FAST, a seperate Cabana check-in table at the enterence of the venue to collect your wristbands for event entry, and bypass any line there may be.

What is the $500 seating fee?

This fee is charged by the event organizers as a means of fundraising to help cover the costs of the event, and covers entry for up to 15 people to enjoy the event. Any proceeds in excess of the event costs are split between OutSport Toronto and Pride Toronto to contribute to fundraising efforts to continue funding valuable programming by both organizations.  This is the ONLY revenue event organizers receive from your package.  All drink and food service goes directly to the venue.

How do I and my guests check-in?

Upon arrival at the venue, proceed to the "Cabana Check-In" table.  As host you will need to present both  your Photo I.D. and the credit card you used to reserve your Cabana.

There are two ways for your guests to check-in;

You can send a guest list to events@outsporttoronto.org before end of day Monday June 22, 2015. Your guests can then pickup their wristbands at the same "Cabana Check-In" table by presenting Photo I.D.

OR, You can arrive as a group, and you, as host, can pick up all of your wristbands when you check-in and distribute them to your group yourself.

Once you have your wristband(s), bypass the entry line for express event entry.

What if I don't know everyone's name by the Guest List deadline?

That's ok! Whatever names you send us will be able to check-in on their own when they arrive.  Anyone else up to your group limit of 15 will have to arrive with you, and you as host can pick up their wristbands.

What if my group is larger than 15 people?

Cabanas are restricted to 15 people at any given point in time, and your package only includes 15 wristbands.  BUT we aren't going to cramp the party.  Anyone over your 15 group limit can enter through the general admidmision line and make a donation at the gate to get into the party.  Once in the party, who you invite into your cabana is entirely up to you.

What if I, or one of my guests forget their Photo I.D.?

A combination of liquor code, venue regulations, and event policy require that every guest at the event be in posession of goverment issued photo I.D. Unfortunately if you or one of your guests forgets their photo I.D. that person will be denied entery until such time they can produce Photo I.D. (so run home and get it).

While there will be no hold for any potentail capacity restrictions for Cabana Experience Guests, entry is not guranteed and is subject to security screening by venue staff.  Cabana Seating Fee is non-refundable except in case of event cancellation by organizers.

Event F.A.Q.

Polson Pier is Big, How do I find the party?

At the base of Polson Street there is a small parkette.  There will be a Guest Services attendant to help direct you at the start of a path that leads down to the boardwalk along the lake's edge.  Follow the boardwalk to the entry to the pool area of Cabana Pool Bar.  Signs and staff will help you.

There's a pool there right? Can I go in?

It's a Pool Party!! You're highly encouraged to wade in and get soaking wet.  Change rooms are available, so please bring the board shorts, bikini or speedo, and GET OUT AND WET.

However, your belongings are your own responsiblity.  Organizers nor Cabana Pool Bar assume no responsibility for any of your personal belongings that may be lost or stolen.

Where do I buy Tickets?

Unless you wish to reserve a Private Cabana Experience, there are no advance tickets for this event.  Admission is at the gate only, and is a suggested donation of $10.  Please feel free to contribute more in support of Pride Toronto and OutSport Toronto programming.

Where does the money go?

Cabana Pool Party is an official event of Toronto Pride 2015, and is a join partnership between Pride Toronto, OutSport Toronto, and Pride House TO.  Once event costs are covered, any additional revenue will be split between Pride Toronto and OutSport Toronto to help fund ongoing programs of the two organizations.

How can I pay?

Event entry and bars are equiped to handle cash or credit card.  Do keep in mind, credit cards do slow the process down, so for faster service we reccommend bringing cash.

Is there parking?

Yes there are some public parking lots in the area along Polson Street.  However, we highly encourage you to take public transit or a cab.  Stay Safe, Plan Your Ride, Don't Drink and Drive.

Does my Wristband allow me to leave and come back?

No.  Your wristband allows you to leave and reenter our event space, however it does not allow you to leave and reenter the venue.

What if it rains?

It's a pool party, we're all there to have fun getting wet.  We won't let a little rain stop us.  The party runs rain or shine.  In the event of a severe thunderstorm announcements will be made if the event must be canceled for safety reasons.

It's outdoors, can I smoke at the event?

According to new Ontario law, smoking is prohibitied within the event space.  However there is a smoking section outside of the event space where you can go for a puff.  Please note, this space is not licensed, so you will have to leave your drink inside the event space.  Your wristband will allow you reenter the event after your smoke.

What's the washroom situation?

Cabana Pool Bar is a large venue, other spaces are open to the public and other groups during the event.  Because washrooms also incorporate changeroom facilities, they will remain bi-gendered.  Guests are encouraged to use the facilities they feel most comfortable in, or identify as.

Is Cabana Pool Bar Accessible?

Yes and no.  There are some restrictions and limitations for persons with physical disabilities.  The standard entry to the space does involve stairs, however venue staff will help you find your way without needing to navigate stairs.  The pool itself is not accessible, but the party space is.  Private cabanas do have a step and are regrettably not accessible.
