Flags of Glory Football: New Beginners Skills Clinic & Pick-Up Game

Never played flag football or any sports before? 
Want to get active and have some fun learning how to play? Want to see if Flags of Glory will be your summer sports league of choice?

Come to the skills clinic and pick up game at Feldstead Park close to Greenwood Subway station. 

[The skills clinic starts at 1PM] 

We will lead a warm up -- key terms, concepts, game objectives will be explained. **There will be a facilitated ice breaker as well as coloured tape to identify correct pronoun use.

[Pick up game starts at 2PM] 

Depending on how many folks show, we may do 2 modified smaller games. This is purely for recreational purposes and to have some fun. Those that have never played before are strongly encouraged to go to the skills clinic to learn how to play! 

Please keep in mind that folks with all varying levels of fitness and sports experiences will be coming in. We want this to be as inclusive and as positive of an experience as possible. The goal is to have fun and learn a few things about flag football. 

If you have a football and are coming to the skills clinic, please bring it with you to ensure we have enough to use. 

Please wear weather appropriate comfortable clothing (hoodies, long sleeve shirts, shorts, sweatpants, extra socks if it's wet out, etc) as the weather may still be cold. Bring cleats if you have them, if not running shoes will be fine. 

**Note** There are washrooms at the park, but it's uncertain whether those are open at the time we're there for so please come changed. There is a gas station with a Tim Hortons on Greenwood with a washroom. Apologies that this is not an adapted sport and because it is at a park on grass, it may be hard to navigate with mobility devices. Street parking is available at the south end of the park as well as around the park.
