Job Opening: Program Manager - Focus on Youth and LGBTQ Programs

Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services is a Community Health Centre that aims to improve health outcomes for the most vulnerable immigrants, refugees, and their communities. They do this by facilitating access to services and addressing systemic inequities. The Centre envisions a future in which diverse individuals, families and communities can achieve health with dignity.

Reporting to the Director, Community Programs, the Program Manager is responsible for managing a staff of 4 –15 front line community service providers such as community health workers, youth workers. The role has both supervisory and operational accountabilities in support of the agency’s goals, vision and objectives.

From a social determinants of health approach, the Program Manager functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team to promote health for the agencies target populations.  The current focus of the portfolio is youth and LGBTQ focused programming, however the expectation is that this is a growth portfolio.  The Program Manager supports the work of the front line team in the development, implementation and evaluation of health promotion programs and initiatives in accordance with the strategic direction of the organization by managing the day to day operations, staff and the broad range of programs encompassed in the service initiatives.  As well, the Program Manager is responsible for leading in developing and strengthening partnerships for the purpose of undertaking collaborative initiatives and addressing broader community issues.
