OUTSPORT TORONTO is looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator.  This volunteer role will be responsible for intake, orientation, placement, and overall co-ordination to volunteers for OUTSPORT TORONTO.  You'll work directly with the board of directors in determining needs, and then interviewing volunteer candidates, determining fit with available volunteer opportunities, making sure they are well integrated into OUTSPORT TORONTO, and following up with them to ensure their experience with us is a good one!

Pride SportZone 2012

Frontrunners Toronto volunteers talking to passers-by about getting involved at the 2011 SportZoneFrontrunners Toronto volunteers talking to passers-by about getting involved at the 2011 SportZoneOUTSPORT TORONTO is excited to present the 2012 Pride SportZone.  The SportZone is an integral part of the community street fair during the Pride Weekend, and will showcase many of our member organisations and opportunities to get involved in LGBT-friendly athletics and recreation. This year, OUTSPORT TORONTO and its member leagues are delighted to have a new booth dedicated to opportunities for LGBT women to get involved in athletics and recreation, and our member organisations.

Several of OUTSPORT TORONTO's member organizations will be on-site to provide information, discuss opportunities for involvement in LGBT Sport and Recreation, and showcase their activities through exciting demonstrations.

This year's SportZone will include:

  • OUTSPORT TORONTO itself will have a booth space

 

When:  June 30th and July 1st 2012 From 10am to 6pm

Where:  Alexander Street between Yonge Street and Church Street

Who:  Anyone interested in participation in athletics and recreation, or who wants to find out how to get involved

Cost:  Free!!!

So put on your running shoes, head down to the street fair and the SportZone, come talk to one of the many representatives that will be on hand to answer your questions, and…Get Out…And Play!!!
