OUTSPORT TORONTO has closed the period for nominations for directors, and has issued the Notice of and Information Circular for its Fourth Annual General Meeting of Members, which can be found at www.OutSportToronto.org/annual-reports-and-information-circulars , along with the 2013 Annual Report, which was issued earlier this year.Â
The AGM will be held Wednesday, 7 May 2014, 7:00pm in Eggy's Summit Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Mattamy Athletic Centre, 50 Carlton Street, Toronto, Ontario. The meeting is open to all to attend, but only the nominees of member organisations that have re-registered with OUTSPORT TORONTO for the 2014 year are eligible to vote.
At last year's AGM, the bylaws were successfully amended to incorporate provisions for proxy voting, which is available to nominees this year. Nominees can either cast an electronic proxy vote themselves through OUTSPORT TORONTO's website, or they can appoint another member-in-good-standing of their organisation (with support of a signing officer of that organisation) to act as their proxy at the AGM itself. Full details of the proxy provisions are contained within the Notice of and Information Circular for the Fourth Annual General Meeting of Members. Note that any person acting as a proxy must register with the Secretary of OUTSPORT TORONTO between 6:00pm and 6:30pm prior to the commencement of the AGM in order to be recognised to vote. Registration will take place in Eggy's Summit Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Mattamy Athletic Centre. Nominees who plan to attend the meeting are asked to arrive between 6:30pm and 7:00pm, and also ensure they register with the Secretary.
Leaving OUTSPORT TORONTO's board at the end of this AGM are James Scott (Membership and Member Services) and Gerlinde Weger (Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations). Additions to the roster are Yanick Landry (Membership and Member Services) and Liz McLachlan (Fundraising and Development).
